Version 3.3 to 3.4.1 should be a painless upgrade.
But just to play it safe (safe is good), before upgrading it is always recommended that you make a full file and database backup first.

- Switch to the Twenty Eleven theme and deactivate all of your plugins.
- Upgrade any themes or plugins.
- Then perform the automated upgrade, reactivate your plugins, and switch back to your theme.
If anything goes horribly wrong (it shouldn't) just restore your file and database backups. That will put your installation back to the way you were prior to the upgrade.
if the backup is wp multisite, it should be much more difficult and will face lots of pains:( now i am suffering:(
