WordPress will create the tables for you when you visit wp-admin/install.php. You should NOT have to do that.

But here are the table structures: Database Description
I use th Install WordPress which is written for version 2.6.0 of phpMyAdmin while I have version 2.9.2.
In the initial window the text says: “Create a new table in the database” and “Number of Fields”
I counted 10 tables and entered that number, resulting in a table where i will have to put int the names of the fields.
My guess is that I’m out of border.
Again, you DO NOT need to create the tables–the WordPress install does that!

Well Michael – I have exactly the same problem. The PHPmyAdmin asks me to fill out the number of fields and in the next screen the name I want to give to the fields. However it’s not possible to just ignore or skip it. It’s blocking any further installation. Is there a workaround?
Is there a solution to this, as i’m experiencing the same problem.
Thanks.
You’re having this problem when you’re trying to create the database, yes?
What steps are you following to create the DB? These?
