What is the best way to get started coding WordPress plugins? I already have experience with PHP etc. I was hoping that someone could recommend some good books / tutorials that would cover WordPress 3.3 or at the very least WordPress 3.

Posted 3 months ago #If you don't already know of this section of this site the codex is the best place.. up to date resources, and where all the WP authors documentation is complied http://codex.wordpress.org/Writing_a_Plugin

Posted 3 months ago #Thanks, I've seen that page before, but it reads as more of a list of functions rather than a beginner's guide on how to program WordPress plugins. I am really looking for a professionally written book or video tutorials since that has been the easiest way for me to learn.
