So i have a wordpress multisite.

I would like to have 2 have two sites for adavanced sitewide search and sitewide tags page.

    search.mysite.com (like search.twitter.com)
    tags.mysite.com (like http://en.wordpress.com/tags/)

What is best way to achieve them?

search.mysite.com is only for advanced sitewide search and tags.mysite.com is only for sitewide tags.

For better understanding this is what i'm trying to achieve.

Lets say i have a site (site1.mysite.com) in my WP Multisite network.

Site1.mysite.com will have a search form but it can only query and display results from site1. If user want to search all sites they have to go to search.mysite.com

    Same thing applies to tags.
Is there any plugin available there to achieve what i mentioned above?.
    Thanks

  2. For tags, use the plugin wp.com uses!

Global search is a whole separate mess :/

    Great.. Thanks.

  4. For a global search, ditch the internal WP search. Use something like Sphinx.

While there are a tiny number of plugins for this they are ... inefficient at best.

you can also hook up your search box to use google instead. THAT works.
