   I am new to WordPress and a novice at all this stuff. I am working to, possibly, remove my breadcrumbs. And on my theme I have to find single.php but frankly have no idea what this is or where to find it. Googled it, but just brought me to the WordPress site.

   single.php is the single post page, the theme page for displaying just one post.

   Thanks! So where would I go to edit it? Or find it for that matter?

   its usually in the theme folder /wp-content/themes/the-theme-name/ and you can use Notepad++ for editing, and FileZilla to download it from an existing website
