   You would think this would be easy to find in the user manual...

   What is the meaning of the number in a circle that appears over the PLUG-IN menu on the dashboard? It looks like some kind of warning, but I don't see any documentation in the manual....

   It is the number of plugins that need to be updated. Go to the plugins screen and those plugins will have a line at the bottom, saying that there is a new version.

   They should have a way to mark these threads as "solved!", like some support forums I see on other sites. I added the tag solved to this one.

   In the sidebar you should see a dropdown that you can change from "unsolved" to "solved", but indeed, in IE I don't see it either.
