    Hi,

I wanted to use your plugin for a client's photo heavy site. They already have over a hundred images on the site. If I run the optimizer what happens to the old images? Are those file retrievable? Just curious would be a nightmare if for some reason all the files got corrupted.

    thanks,
    Sara

The old files are gone (replaced), and I seem to have plugged up the bug in the code that bungled the files with empty replacements. Haven't had any complaints since the early days of development. That said, it would be wise to have a backup of the files just in case. If you are working with normal wordpress images they usually live in /wp-content/uploads/, for NextGEN they are usually in /wp-content/gallery/, if memory serves me correctly.
