   so I've installed my new template but it won't show up with the sidebar. When I put in the index the sidebar code <?php get_sidebar(); ?> it then seems to hide or delete my posts. what's going on?

   /*Edit*/

   So... When I added the get sidebar code right before my get footer code, it didn't wipe out my posts but there is still no sidebar!

   does the theme support sidebar (custom sidebar / dynamic sidebar)?
