WordPress 2.3.3 is installed. When updating from 2.2 it was possible to load up just a half-dozen files for the update to happen.

What files need to be updated?

2.5 is not a minor update. There’s over 1300 changes in over 350 files. The list of changes is huge.

You should perform a full upgrade if you want to upgrade to 2.5.

    Hi Otto42,

Thanks. Did as you suggested and everything went well.

In case others have missed it there is a ‘Secret Key’ phrase required in the config file–so don’t just upload your old config file.

The secret key is not a requirement. You can skip it if you like. I did. No issues.

    What if you have mods?

I’ve modded several areas/files and after browsing the topic titles here
    I’m wary of “upgrading”…

I just uploaded the old config file – it didn’t cause me any problems. (Or, rather, I just didn’t delete it from the server, when I deleted the other files prior to uploading the new ones)
