   I had WordPress installed locally on my own machine and now I'm transferring to a web server. Everything is good except my categories aren't showing up. Can someone tell me where my categories are?

   OKAY I found the .php file, but is there a .sql file I also need to upload to my database?

   Categories are in your database. Try exporting your local WordPress data and then importing it into your web server WordPress:

   http://codex.wordpress.org/Tools_Export_SubPanel
