    Hi,

I am a modestly experieinced web developer, but new to wordpress.

I installed wordpress yesterday on my old workhorse windows box running windows XP Pro - pretty plain vanilla XP Box - everyhting installed to C:

So I started up wordpress just by clicking a link at the end of install and walked around the product for a while and everything seems to be there and everything seems to work.

So today I want to start it up again, and I realize I have no idea what file to open or where to find it. And after hunting for an hour or so, I haven't found an answer yet.

I'll keep looking. but, if somebody could point me in the general direction, that would be helpful.

yes, I am a wordpress noob. sorry.

    thanks in advance.

    b.

    Hi guys,

are these urls you have provided meant to be examples? or are they literal?

I do not know what my local wordpress URL is. is there an .ini file or something i can look at that will remind me? I did name a blg, but I literally just flew through the default WP install and did what it said.

sorry. should have been paying closer attention I guess.

Examples. We have no ideas where you installed WP on your machine. You could start by seeing what folder you installed WP into under your local web root.

    Hi esmi,

thanks. well, i just accepted whatever the wordpress default location was - i did not alter anything. wherever it installs stuff by default on a basic C drive. I guess I just need to know what the default values in the install script are. and whatever that results in as a local URL.

    my login.php is in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wordpress

    does that help?
