PeterAdkisonI'm just starting with WordPress trying to figure out which theme to use. I found the wonderful page (http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/tag-filter/) where I can search for themes based on what tags are important to me. But I can't find a source for what these tags mean. For example, what's a blavatar? What's a buddypress? What's the difference between microformats and post-formats? Etc, etc.
Some tags seem obvious, like one-column versus two-column. Not true. Some themes are called one-column but look just like the two-column ones.
If I listed all the questions this would be a rediculously long post. I feel like I'm supposed to make a decision about a theme and there is this wonderful tool that sorts by features but I don't know what features are important or why.
Is there a page or website that defines all these theme tags?
