   I would like to grant that capability to editors. I have tried reading the roles and capabilities and found it under levels, but I was hoping to not give editors on my site all the abilities of a higher level.

   Is this possible? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Did I miss something?

   This plugin might work, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/capsman/ If not do a search in plugins.

   Thanks for the suggestion. I have been playing with a few of the plugins. What I cannot seem to figure out and maybe it is not possible is whether the ability to change the author on a post is a capability that can be assigned by itself.

   I have not yet found a plugin that does that (or does it in a way I can understand). Do you happen to know if it is even possible?
