   I'm adding a contributor to my site to add content. I need to make sure adding him as a contributor and not an author is the right thing to do or other way around. I've searched but really couldn't find the exact answer.

   What I want: Allow this person to post without restriction, including any media files

   What I don't want: Allow this person to change the site dynamics in any way, layout, design, edit posts by others etc....

   Is contributor what I'm looking for or author?

   did you look here? Should be able to answer your questions

   looks like author may be what you want?

   Thanks! that's exactly what I was looking for and yes, I think author is what I'm wanting between the two.
