• I’ve more or less finished modifying the “contempt” theme to have my own flavor. Based on what I’m seeing, I suspect that it was derived from Kubrick. (I hear all that sighing!)

New header graphic and some color and layout tweaks. It all validates. Whee.

Works in FF1.5 and Opera8.x. No clue how it does in IE6 (yet), but IE7 pretty much refuses to show my top banner and nav area. I see the images flicker in, but then they get replaced with a white blob.

Would somebody glance it over and maybe offer a hint on what I’m looking for to fix that?

small update – ie6 appears to display it just delightfully. In fact, lookit at in with i36 I realize my menu stuff is a bit borked in FF and Opera. /blush.

Try taking the background-image property out of the inline style and place it in your stylesheet. Mayhaps IE7 doesn’t like inline styles?

Hmm, not a bad idea. But, alas, no love.

Really weird thing is I see the banner image flicker in before it gets covered by this white thing.
