   I'd like to insert a welcome note at the top of my home page (below the logo). currently the latest blog sits on top in my 'blog home page', but i wanted to replace it with a welcome note, which will always be on top of all other blogs.

   i'm not sure if this has anything to do with the 'permalink'. anyway, that's another story.

   i appreciate any insight.

   Check out the Adhesive plugin. Once activated, it will let you select a post as "Sticky," and that post will always appear as the first post of your blog.

   thanks Filosofo... i downloaded Adhesive plugin and got it to work fine; however, i wanted to delete the comments at the bottom the post, "Posted in New Blog | Comments Off" and also the date or timestamp. can this be done? since this is a greeting note, i don't need those info.
