   driving me crazy...
   i am fiarly new to wordpress...but not an idiot...for the life of me i can't find where i update the welcome message that appears on each page.

   is it a post or a page or in the file?

   can someone please help i am going mad!!!

   We can't tell without more information. My guess is your theme uses it somewhere. Search your theme-files for the text, the header.php could be a good start.

   right...
   i thought it must be in the code somewhere but wasn't sure...i just imagined that all text came from the post/pages or something....

   I am looking for the welcome message. the theme mine is using is the pixel theme...with some styling modifications...

   Have you got a widget with that in? Try:
   Admin > Appearance > Widgets

   Or failing that, take a look at your sidebar.php in your theme.

   its was actually under
   Admin > Appearance > Theme options....

   but thanks for that...it helped alot
