• Hi folks,

I’m hoping somebody can help me.
    My site is: http://www.talkingtotoddlers.com

If you look at the site you’ll see a static page, and a top menu that calls up other pages. Their is a custom template for these pages that throws away the the usual WP sidebar and instead calls up another file (testimonials).

All was/is fine without any sort of blog. But today I tried adding the blog so I can build content.

    My steps were:
    1) create a page called “blog”
    2) Assign that page to be where posts go in options –>reading

This is where all hell breaks loose. After step 1 nothing weird happens, but after step 2 I get this:

    http://www.talkingtotoddlers.com/blog

(You can see two sidebars rendering … despite the fact that my page template does not ever once call up the WP sidebar. It only calls up the replacement “testimonial” file.

You can see from my main domain and from the /blog source code that there is a clear difference.

Anyway, I need help and I have no idea what to do. I’d really appreciate any help.

    USING VERSION 2.3.1

  • So, what template is used for the “blog” Page?

Alright … I jumped the gun on this and looks like I have it resolved. I totally forgot that Main Index Template is what is used by default for posts, and as a result I never checked what was going on there. Due to past editing, I had two instances of the sidebar being called. I simply removed one and now all is fine.

Resolved, and sorry for wasting space/time!
