Weird sidebar problem when adding blog to static page site
-
Hi folks,
I’m hoping somebody can help me.
My site is: http://www.talkingtotoddlers.comIf you look at the site you’ll see a static page, and a top menu that calls up other pages. Their is a custom template for these pages that throws away the the usual WP sidebar and instead calls up another file (testimonials).
All was/is fine without any sort of blog. But today I tried adding the blog so I can build content.
My steps were:
1) create a page called “blog”
2) Assign that page to be where posts go in options –>readingThis is where all hell breaks loose. After step 1 nothing weird happens, but after step 2 I get this:
http://www.talkingtotoddlers.com/blog
(You can see two sidebars rendering … despite the fact that my page template does not ever once call up the WP sidebar. It only calls up the replacement “testimonial” file.
You can see from my main domain and from the /blog source code that there is a clear difference.
Anyway, I need help and I have no idea what to do. I’d really appreciate any help.
