weird issue with Theme Customizer

    hi,
    i have a weird issue with the twenty fourteen theme customizer, which is best explained by a screenshot:

    both the side menu with all the options is cramped and incomplete, plus some functions (like background colors, etc.) do not work, and the preview window is tiny too. functionality is impaired.

    interestingly, i maintain another website with twenty twelve theme, and have no problem whatsoever.

    This issue is both with IE and Chrome browser.

    any ideas?
