This is my fifth try at installation. I extracted all the files and uploaded them. I try to open wp-admin/install.php and I get this message:
The file ‘install.php’ cannot be opened: The associated program (WX_DDE”C:\program files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Dreamweaver.exe”,”install.php”##System#) could not be found. Please check your file type associations.

My host is ooowebhost.com. I created a Mysql db there.

    Thanks for your help.

Are you navigating to http://your_domain/wp-admin/install.php on the remote server using your web browser? Or on your local computer?

    esmi,

I am using Filezilla to open the file on the remote server.

    Thanks

You need to navigate to http://your_domain/wp-admin/install.php in your web browser.

    Here is the link:

    http://www.franksplace2.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php

    The error message is nicer

"There doesn't seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get started.

Need more help? We got it.

You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn't work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.

    Create a Configuration File"

Try clicking on "Create a Configuration File".
