Support » Fixing WordPress » Weird horizontal scroll bar there for no reason

  • Okay if you go to the site http://eric-taylor.com/skills for some reason you get a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page, and I’m not sure why. I mean it does center the template correctly, but for some reason it lets you scroll right. Does anyone have any ideas of what is causing this problem? thx

hate to double post, but really, does anyone have any ideas, i already fiddled with the flexable width, and thats not it.

The navigation menu at the top of the page. It has an “invisible” box around it. In the source, it’s class=”menu”. Check the stylesheet.

Although now that I look at it, I would suspect it is the left: 400px; in the ul.menu that does it.

Handy tip: Get Firefox, then install the web developer extension for it. With one click, it’ll outline every element on the page for you so you can see stuff like this very easily. 🙂
