I have a weird issue with WordPress 2.7 regarding themes. There is two copies of my custom theme in the appearance admin page, and whenever I change the code in a file (say, the index.php) and upload it, I have to activate the 'other' copy of the theme in the appearance page to see the changes I made. Needless to say, I do not have two copies of the same theme uploaded on my server. Is this supposed to happen?

Why would I need to activate my theme every time I change a little snippet of code? Is this some sort of security feature or something, and if it his, how do I turn it off!!

Posted 3 years ago #Maybe a similar issue, but WP 2.7 (and some prior versions) never see the active theme as active, and the directory containing the files is displayed as an empty reference.
