Website too wide/big in Internet Explorer (5 posts)

    I appreciate many questions have been asked about compatibility issues with WordPress sites in IE however, I can not find the answer to my problem The problem is my site looks massive in IE and the background image is somewhat cut off either side. I have validated my site and it says there is an issue with html 5. Is this the problem and if so can anyone tell me how to fix the problem. If this is not the problem can anyone please tell me how to view my website in IE so that it looks the same as it does in Firefox. Many thanks.

    your site looks the same size to me in IE7 and FF17;

    what version of IE are you working with?

    have you tried to reset the browser zoom?

    I get the same renderings with IE in my Twenty Twelve Theme, and my own experience suggests that is just how things are with IE. The page gets the entire screen width (sans background), and I have background only at the bottom. I have a Developer who is going to look at that and more for me this week, and I will post back if anything changes. If you have any other IE troubles, here is a plugin that has made a huge difference in other ways:
