website speed

Hello;
I am trying to increase the load speed of my website: http://mindful-shopper.com/. I checked the speed on http://tools.pingdom.com/ and it appears the main issues affecting my speed is the ability to “Minimize Redirects” and “Parallelize downloads across hostnames”.

I know very little about website development and was hoping someone could explain to me what these issues are and how to improve them so that my website loads faster.
