website not working after reinstall

    I just had to do a clean install on my PC (windows xp sp3) running xampp.

    Long story short I only copied the folder in HTDOCS that contained the website… now that I re-installed and transferred that folder back over to the new HTDOCS ALL of my information is gone. the only thing that remains are the plug ins and themes. all my pages and content are gone. What can I do to fix this???

    Did you make a backup of the database? That’s where all your page and post information lives in. If you don’t have a backup of that then you won’t have that information and will need to recreate it.

    My sympathies! The actual content of a WordPress site (besides anything uploaded like images and themes) all reside in the database.

    Re install the database of your initial wordpress.

    Edit your config.php file of your current blog to match the same
