Website not updating with new pages

    I am using Creativo theme and am beginning to get used to building pages for my website. However, when I create a new page and publish it, my webpage is not updating. It continues to say “Welcome to a shopsite store”. Is there something I am not doing? What do I need to do in order to get my new published page to show up on my website.

    Are you sure the URL is correct? I don’t get a WordPress site when I click that link.

    You likely need to delete the index.html file in your root web directory (created by ShopSite by default) so that WordPress’s index.php file becomes the new homepage.

    Thanks for your time. I am new to all of this so please forgive my ignorance. How do I access the root web directory that was created by ShopSite? If I created my new site using Word Press on Host Monster, why is my site a ShopSite site? Thats the part that is really confusing me. Thanks again for any assistance you could provide.

    You may have installed ShopSite Starter ecommerce software in your account. GO into the file manager in cpanel, and remove the index.html file in your public_html folder, so that index.php (WordPress) will take precedence.
