So we're running into a strange problem: Our site doesn't seem to be showing up in Google search results. It doesn't matter the combination of words, use of quotations, or anything. All our social networking pages come up (Facebook, Twitter, etc), but not our actual website. I've looked through the HTML and PHP in the themes we're using, and there isn't anything glaring out to me that seems to be causing the issue.

    Care to help?

    Our url is: http://www.wellcanmedia.com

Google search Wellcan Media, or even "Wellcan Media," to see what I mean.

We're front end/visual guys, this code stuff is foreign to us... Ha

    Thanks in advance!

Well, are you running an SEO plugin and do you have an XML sitemap/use a plugin that generates one? I use All in One SEO Pack with Google XML Sitemaps, which works great. Read this as well: http://yoast.com/articles/wordpress-seo/

WordPress version: 2.8.5 - Probably a good idea to upgrade

Google seems to know about you (54 returns): http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=6OT&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.wellcanmedia.com&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=

    searched on: (site:http://www.wellcanmedia.com)

But with exciting Post Titles like blog001, blog003, I don't know as I would pay much attention either.

Have you made sure that your site is registered with the search engines?

Yep, I've registered it with search engines months ago but that still didn't work. The meta data in the source code all looks correct to me... it's really strange that this is happening.

I just found this in my source code:

    <meta name='robots' content='noindex,nofollow' />

    Could that be the cause?

    Could that be the cause?

Well, yes. Even with a sitemap, that tells Google to stay away. Change your pivacy settings in Dashboard/Settings/Privacy and then check page source to be sure the change is made.

    Hi!
I had my site. Then I transferred files and domain (about 5-6 days ago) I has redirected to new site. So now I have problem with Google search and Bing search. I can not find my site with exact titles. :(
I can find just my old site not new one.

I have rewritten some posts. These could I find by Google, but problem is the title was not shown. Search results were referred to Home page.

Can you tell me, what can be a problem with site transferring?
