I cannot see any reason why it does not show correctly, also the image map I have added in the foor IE puts a blue border around it which I dont want but firefox doesnt?

the only main differences i can see on IE8 are that your rounded corners are displaying, and that the transparent background for your text section isnt showing..

there's not much you can do about the rounded corners (other than do them with images) as most versions of IE (8 and below) dont support border-radius. See here if you really want to fight this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9426979/border-radius-for-ie8

and as for your background of the text section.. similarly i would use a transparent image.. (10px x 10px should be fine) of a white image with 50% opacity.. should be a few bytes so really no harder for the browser to render

Thanks for the respose, will the transparent in the css not work in IE then? it was working a little while ago and not sure what I have changed :(

Also what is with the blue border around the footer image? also this should be slighly transparent

    Regards
