    Hello!

I have had a wordpress.org site for four months now and recently uploaded a forum plugin. After doing this, my website not only stopped displaying all my pages, and therefore posts etc, but also claims that they are not there in my admin area. Now all my posts etc. are in MySQL database, which I can access, BUT THEY WON'T DISPLAY! I have not idea what to do. So far I have deactivated all plugins, deleted the forum plugin (simple:press) that seems to have caused the trouble, and spend an hour and a half talking to my hosting support who say that it is not an issue from them so they cannot help! I can do it all again, but will it happen again, seems dangerous if I don't really know what caused it in the first place? Also if the pages are still present in MySQL database, if I redo them, what will happen?

I would seriously appreciate any help form people in the know, or who this has happened to before?

    Many thanks, Joe

You can try to Tools->export your content and then import it.You can create another installation and try importing there.

Thanks for the suggestion! It is on a subdomain, will that make it any more complicated? Thanks!

I tried to change the url via the admin page and all now the i keep getting an error message saying we can not finde promaxxfittness.com and when I try the original that doesn't work either. Can someone shed some light on this and help me get back into my site as I have been locked out.

What do I do if I can not log back into the page? That article is perfect if I can log into the page but everytime I try to log back in It says the page can not be found.

You will need ftp or cpanel/server access and this site i think is giving instructions about how you can change the url!

They are ways to access your files on the server.Maybe you can ask the person who installed WP for you for more information.

Want to put out a massive thanks to comediann for your advise, totally on the ball! I ended up putting the content on a new subdomain (because my boss asked for a new address), so just installed a fresh version of WP, and exported and imported the content from the old site to the new site and bam, done! Sounds so simple, but when you're a novice like me, people like comediann are solid gold! Cheers again!
