Website error, please help!!!! (3 posts)

    I was trying to remove the footer where it says evolve theme powered by wordpress or something like that and then when i saved it, i went to see acess my site and it wouldn't work.
    Here is what it says when you try to go on my site:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ')' in /home/mathew09/public_html/wp-content/themes/evolve/functions.php on line 122
    the website is xthelp.x10.mx please help me fix this, i can't even acess anything

    Hi

    You might want to get the functions .php file out of the theme folder. Download the folder and search for the theme. Copy your current functions.php folder and then replace it with the new one.

    Now it should work again.

    Then install firebug if you don't already have it, and do a tutorial on how to use it. Once done, select the element you want to remove and post the code here

    It appeared that the footer was linked to their PHP coding on their function.php files. Most of theme developers do this to prevent their hardwork from being removed.

    After you downloaded from the new source, I would suggest not to remove the existing footer.

    Anyhow, you can force back to run your default theme(Twenty Eleven if you are running WordPress 3.2.1) by renaming the evolve theme folder at wp-contents/themes/evolve to different name.
