Which theme are you using?
When I opened it up in IE9, I just got a message saying that it’s just not compatible in IE. This means that the developer of the theme made a decision to not support IE at all, and you should probably take it up with them. In order to do something like that, they had to program in conditional statements to detect IE browsers, and send that message instead of the plain (possibly) broken code.
There is no reason for a website to not work in IE8+ nowadays, other than laziness and/or ignorance.
i made that message because i could not figure out the problem. Other websites with pagelines work fine on IE. i cant seem to figure out the problem.
IE is always a … let’s go with adventure in web design. There are some CSS and JS issues on the site, but all the content is there.
Just looking at Pageline’s docs, they show an Advanced Settings tab where you can set IE compability fix. Click this and recheck if this solves the problem.
If no, then as this is a premium theme, I’d suggest starting with pageline’s forum or Live Chat. Ask them to take a look at your site and see what suggests they have.

Your site is loading in the quirks mode because you have this, <link rel='stylesheet' href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Cabin:r,b,i,bi|Oswald:r,b,i,bi' type='text/css' media='all' /> above <DOCTYPE>. Nothing can come before <DOCTYPE>. Fix that and IE will be fine.
how would i go about fixing that? I went into the wordpress editor but i couldn’t find that code
i tried deactivating the google fonts plugin but the code at the top is still there.
Can someone please help? My Website will not work in IE 8 or below AT ALL. It displays fine on all other search engines. My Web Developer said there is nothing they can do about it. Yesterday was the first day that I had clients on it. TWO of them could not view it. Lord knows how much business I will loose. She said this is normal beause of changes in “jkdflasdkj jdfkjaldfj jadfjarhejl aka blah blah blah (lol), but honestly these same two clients can search any other website they want so the blah blah blah seems like just that! @basketsbyjill, that’s not a theme we support here. Perhaps try hiring someone at WP Jobs or try a theme distributed on WordPress.org?
Andrew…thank you so much for your quick response! I am sorry if I sound uneducated, but when it comes to this I am that is why I hired someone! I do GREAT baskets though! Can you explain what you mean by theme? I know it is one of your templates and she customized it a bit. Thank you!
