Website description/Google Snippets issue (3 posts)

Hi everyone. I'm new here - so please don't bite me head off if I've followed the wrong procedures and the like.

I have my own website run on WordPress 3.4.2 that I'm hosting with GoDaddy. However, I am currently having an issue as the site description was hacked :( - I found the text in the header file that I then re-edited back to as I wanted it within the WP editor. However, is that all I need to do? - as Google hasn't refreshed my snippet (although I know it takes some time to crawl etc)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Geoff.

That's not good. Nice photo site BTW but the disabled right click is a bit annoying...

However, is that all I need to do?

Probably not. If you were truly hacked then you want to start with this article and possibly run through the complete list.

Your site comes up clean via Sucuri SiteCheck so a) it may not have been a full on hack or b) it's already been successfully deloused.

Thanks Jan - right click only switched off to keep people (who don't know better) away from stealing photos without looking at source etc!

Well considering I'm only guessing at being hacked (otherwise how else does the crappy description get there) - I am looking towards a solution that doesn't involve a huge rebuild!
