[resolved] web-site goes to sleep (6 posts)

When there is no user activity my WordPress web-site (www.bellatitlecompany.com) it goes to sleep. Once it goes to sleep, it takes a minute or two to wake up. After that it is fine until there is no user activity again.

The web-site is hosted by Go Daddy and the web-server is IIS.

Is there a setting in Go Daddy or WordPress that I can set so the web-site is always awake?

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

  2. Switch to linux; GoDaddy's Windows IIS hosting is junk. See Switching Your Hosting Account Operating System - GoDaddy Help Center

Thank for the reply. I just switched to Linux. I will post back when the upgrade is complete to let the forum know if the issue is resolved.

Since moving to Linux it is a lot faster now but there still a slight delay after no user activity. Is there anything else I can do?

    The web-site is http://www.bellatitlecompany.com

  5. Look at the suggestions here http://gtmetrix.com/reports/bellatitlecompany.com/gfJil5dF and try WP Super Cache with browser caching.
