Web Developer Toolbar with Child Theme CSS (3 posts)

I have a child theme based on twenty eleven, which is all fine but still making changes.

When using Firefox Web developer toolbar and I open the "Edit CSS" tab, the CSS becomes a mix of original twenty Eleven and my new styles. I have double checked everything to make sure the original twenty eleven styles aren't duplicated in child CSS, but still happening. If I use !important, it is all OK, but this is obviously impractical for each rule.

Thought it might be a web developer toolbar problem, but it's not happening with my static html site - only with WordPress.

Has anyone had the same issue?

    Thanks

Try using the Firebug add-on. I have it installed as well as the Web Dev toolbar.

Thank you - I've tried that, and maybe I'm not using it properly, but I find the live edit with the web dev toolbar much easier to use. I'll have another go with Firebug.
