One thing – please change 179 line in versions.php to
$html = str_get_html($buffer, true, true, 'UTF-8', false);
It will preserve line breaks.

Do you have any further information on this problem that could be helpful?
It must be related to the dom parser module? Perhaps it has some server requirements?
