Ways to list category information

    Hello,

    When viewing a category, I’d like to have it display a list of all the posts in the category, which I then select and it displays the post.

    Right now, it simply displays the posts in the category, and is rather non-intuitive.

    I’ve tried modifying the archive.php file to display it differently, but it simply won’t, and I have no idea what else to try.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    I know that this is a complete n00b question, yet I am unable to find an answer in the codex or a plug-in that does what I’d like.

    Any help or ideas is completely appreciated.
