way to remove wp account name from member profile URL

I have Buddypress on my private membership site with the Suffusion theme. In order to simplify and have the highest level of privacy at my site, I’ve removed (had removed-I am not a coder) the @wpusername that used to display just below the Buddypress display name in the members profiles. The WP account username is only used for login and the BP display name is the important one for the profiles and comments and such.

So it’s been removed from the member profiles but it still show up in the browser bar URL when someone is viewing a member’s profile, like this:

mywebsite.com/members/member’swpaccountusername

Does anyone know of a way to hide or scramble or remove the last bit of the URL with the WP username?
