[resolved] way to display future and past shows? (5 posts)

Hello all, and thanks to Christopher for making a great plugin!

Wondering if there's a way to display both future and past shows. For example:

    My Future Events
    [artistdatapress date="future"]
    My Past Events
    [artistdatapress date="past"]

The XML feed would need to be updated to All Shows of course. Would anybody else find this helpful and/or is there a way to do this already?

Further, would be great if the chronological order could be specified. For example

    My Future Events
    [artistdatapress date="future" order="chronological"]
    My Past Events
    [artistdatapress date="past" order="reverse-chronological"]

    Hey Todd,
The 0.5 update adds support for this kind of thing. You put in the actual URL instead though, but it does the same thing. Check it out!

Thanks for the reply Slushman, and thanks for your continued work on this helpful plugin.

I just upgraded to the 0.5.x version of the plugin but am not able to see how/where to display past and present shows, or maybe I should be putting the relevant XML feed in the style of the shortcode example I listed?

    Hey Rob,

Its explained in the readme, but heres a sample of what to do:

In the plugin settings, put in your future shows feed (or past, either one). Then in the shortcodes:

    [artistdatapress]

    [artistdatapress feedurl=http://feeds.artistdata.com/xml.shows/artist/AR-8FAD4948ACC579CB/xml/past]

Be sure not to put quotes in the shortcode, otherwise it won't work. I would copy paste the lines above and just replace the URL with yours.

I don't have a way to sort the items yet, that might be a future development.

    Thanks
    Slushman
