Way of making 1st level menu tabs non-clickable (5 posts)

I've seen it before. I know I have. It's like the elusive Snipe, as I can't find it again. I need a way of making the 1st level tabs, which by default are pages, be not clickable. They would only be rollover targets under which pages would be listed.

I can do this with pages and sub-pages, but I don't need or want the parent page at all. I tried Menubar 4.8 but that requires adding code to the theme, and I'm not interested in that. I use Atahualpa and I don't have to re-tweak things everytime I upgrade the theme code. Using Menubar would mean I'd be tweaking it over and over again.

So, if anyone has any plugin ideas or a trick in WP I'm not aware of, that would be fantastic!

    Thanks!

Are you kidding? There's not one person on WP.ORG who can answer this question? Wow.

If you are still searching for a solution for your problem and you are using the new WordPress 3 menu, just create an external link in your costum menu and use as linkadress a hashtag #.

That worked for me very well.

Thanks, Oliver, but I'm using Atahualpa with its own built-in menus. I will run some tests, though. It's a great tip!! :)

Turns out that Atahualpa supports WP menus, so I've made the change, and it works great! I also discovered that you can add a custom menu with an IMG tag as the label. Looks rather cool.

    Thanks again, Oliver!!
