Watermark on users photos

    Hey guys, I’m new to WordPress so please bear with me 🙂

    To make a long story short, I’m making a site to bring attention to two Danish sailors who were kidnapped down by the cost of Africa, 3 year ago. Our government have desided to ignorer this problem, so i wanna do what i can to help.

    My problem is this:
    I need to make a site where people can upload a picture, and then the site generates a watermark in the bottom corner of that picture, and the user can then save the picture, and use it for there Facebook picture, or whatever.

    I really hope somebody can help me, you will contribute to a great cause!

    @andrew Nevins: Not sure I follow your logic there. Even if the theme is commercial, NikolajH could still have a look for a suitable watermarking plugin.

    I was under the impression the original poster needed much more than a plugin.

    @nikolajh: I think there’s been a slight misunderstanding. It gets pretty busy around here so we volunteers can get the wrong idea sometimes. Have a look through those plugins at the link I posted above.

    Possibly. It may need a combination of a watermarking plugin and a front-end image upload plugin. But at least we can point people to the right place to get them started. 🙂

    Thank you, to the both of you. This is nothing but a humanitarian initiative.. I will see if i can find something.. If you fall over a plugin you think could be appropriate, it would be much appreciated !

    Another thought; have a look at some of the gallery plugins too. If you intend people to upload images, I assume you’ll want some way of displaying them.

    I think i have been throe everything now, and no luck so far.
    A guy told me i couldn’t be done, because of the lack of RAM, on the server or something like that.

    Im sorry i keep bothering you! But here’s a site, where you can edit photos. And it has all sorts of functions.

    The only function I’m looking for is for the guest to upload a photo, add the watermark, and safe the photo.

    I know you already helped me out, and i appreciate it ! But i don’t know where else to ask 🙂 I hope you don’t take this as disrespect.

    I found something that was close to what I’m looking for.. But the guest had to be a registered user, and upload the image to there profile, and then a watermark would be placed in the picture. But thats way to complicated, it has to be something you can do in a minute or two 🙂
