Was working fine, then 'add image' dialog box broke

    I’m having an issue with wordpress that I just can’t seem to solve.

    When I go to insert an image from my media gallery, the ‘add image’ window will open, and (depending on my luck) clicking the ‘show’ text in the gallery will show the images attached to the post. BUT; sometimes the show button will instead NOT show the image, but instead move the underlying post entry screen (the screen that’s greyed out, behind the gallery window). It literally scrolls the whole page… Ok, then, when I manage to get it open, or I’m just lucky, and I get to the ‘Insert into post’ button, the add image window becomes blank, but does NOT actually close (and does NOT actually insert the image into the post).

    I’m really pulling my hair out on this. Can anyone help? Please?
