After installing my settings menu said my sitemap was built and the SEs were notified successfully, but I'm curious if it was really done right because I don't see the sitemap on my blog eHipster.net, and I never manually created the writable sitemap.xml and sitemap.xm.gz like the instructions said, but rather it appeared to do this automatically during the build process. Can someone confirm or deny whether or not my sitedmap appears be up and running okay?

Yes, your sitemap looks fine! The plugin tries to create the files, you'll only have to do this if the plugin doesn't have enough permissions.
