    Hello,

I got these error messages on top of all pages (except for home page):

Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 27 in /home/mysite.com/wp-includes/class-wp.php on line 201

This happened after changing Page name for products-page.

Can someone help? Really appreciated it.

I'm suddenly getting the same error as well. Never happened before, wonder if it's a bug with WPEC 3.8.8.4 which I upgraded to today. Just checked the Getshopped Release Notes for this version and by the comments everyone is having this issue. Try going back to 3.8.8.3.

I updated a website where I was using WP eCommerce and that was my problem. It is in the permalinks. So I deactivated my eCommerce plugin, changed the permalinks to one of their choices. Then checked to see if the error was gone. It was, so then I reactivated my ecommerce plugin and it's now gone. Hope this helps your problem too!

tishawest, I tried the same but no help. I did not change the permalinks from the beginning. But changed the page name. I changed page name back to
original "Products page", still no luck. It was working fine to me.

How to going back to 3.8.8.3v ? I want to test it.

You don't want to use this solution http://wordpress.org/support/topic/warning-preg_match-functionpreg-match-compilation-failed-nothing-to-repe-1 Unless you want your search engine rankings to go in the tank.

If you use the method in that solution your url structure is going to change and that means that all of the links in search engines from before you changed to the default setting as suggested here are going to go to 404 error pages. Once that happens search engines assume you're site is not being maintained and your rankings begin to tank. Don't use this method as is being suggested instead download 3.8.8.5 http://getshopped.org/getshopped-news/wp-e-commerce-3-8-8-4-release/ which has apparently not made it into the plugin repository as of this evening, but was released today.

Thank you so much finally answered.
What Permalink Settings should we use? Since I changed to default, I forget which one should I check.

I just upgraded to WP e-Commerce 3.8.9 and I am now getting the Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: error. How do I roll back to 3.8.8.5?
