[WARNING] filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for"

    This plugin has worked well for me until recently. I see all these errors. Any idea as how to fix?

    I tried unselecting plugins I recently updated and that didn’t seem to help. Only other recent change is that my host (hostgator) recently changed my server and IP address.

    Surely I’m not the only one with this issue? Any idea of a fix? Frustrated at the moment.

    Hi SLIS, remove the BackWPup plugin and make sure that all traces are deleted from your server. Next install the plugin again.

    This is important because your Host has changed server and IP address. That will always cause problems with some backup and security plugins.

    mbrsolution, thank you for the info! I didn’t even think that an IP change/server change might be the cause, but that makes sense.

    So when you say to delete all traces; what does that entail besides deleting the plugin from WordPress? Is there something else I need to locate in Cpanel or FTP?

    Hi SLIS, what I mean with my comment is to make sure that the plugin has been removed “deleted” completely from your server.

    As a general rule when you delete the plugin through WordPress it will remove all plugin entries but sometimes with some plugins it might leave some file behind. Just make sure all traces are remove before you re-install the plugin again.

    Thanks! And one last question (sorry). I’m currently using version 2.1.7 of the plugin as I’ve heard many have problems with the newer version. If I have trouble with it working, is there a way to install the older version?

    Hi SLIS, you will have no problem installing the old version if you run into problems with the new version.

    Yes there are many reporting issues with the new version however in many cases it is because of their server configuration.

    I used the old version in the past and I loved it 🙂 it worked very well for me. I am using the new version on a testing platform and it works very well as well.

    Here is a tutorial to help you understand the new version.

    Thanks so much for your help. Knock on wood (don’t want to jinx myself), but the new version seems to be working much better than the old version.
