you have some text – space, blank lines, whatever – at the bottom of file wp-config.php after the closing ?> php tag. remove all that, save, upload to the server. You will be all set.

sorry if it’s really long but that is what it says. My site is http://www.citruslabel.com and the admin page is http://www.citruslabel.com/wp-admin
I can’t access the admin page at all. Can anyone please help? I’m not very good with this stuff. I have no idea about deleting stuff. I’ve only ever used http://www.citruslabel.com/wp-admin to create my site.

thanks. so all i need to do is delete this demon that is ruining everything. one more question… if the person who has the FTP details does not give them to me is there anything else that i can do?
go to your host’s “File Manager” and delete it that way
and i guess that if i don’t have that information either i am well and truly stuck! thanks for your advice. 🙂
what does ftp to site mean ?? i have the same problm as above ?

I solved the problem… Just copy wp-login.php from another wordpress folder and paste into the /wordpress/wp-login.php.
You can do it for all of files which is giving the problem.

As this error can occur due to unexpected whitespace in any file, replacing wp-login.php will only work if the specific file was referenced in the error. Replacing the files is one solution, but is editing is a better method for files that have been customized, like wp-config.php .
