• I got an email from someone saying they couldn’t see my site on their iPad and asking why I didn’t have it in a WAP format. Any suggestions?

    Thanks! Here it is: http://www.lovesfoodandart.com

Works fine on my iPad and iPhone. Do you know what the problem was more specifically? Perhaps she meant a different layout for mobile devices? That’s determined by the theme…the theme you are using is not set up that way.

But it appears that your site is on WordPress.COM?? That’s not the same as WordPress.ORG (here).

Great! I am glad it works for you. She specifically said WAP for her iPad. Since it’s all Greek to me, I am just glad it is working for you 🙂

As for .com vs .org, I am not sure what the difference is. I registered my own .com domain name and then I think I used wordpress.org to set it up. It is hosted on Godaddy.com and I set it up through them.

Okay, then you are self-hosted and this is the right forum. That theme came originally from the wp.COM themes — so their name is on the stylesheet — hence, my question. But not a problem!

I think what your friend probably meant is that the site does not change for smaller devices — some themes do have that capability built in to the way they are coded. Other websites use a separate special CSS stylesheet to change the layout for smaller screens.

So you pretty much have to decide if it’s important to you to have that as part of your site.
