We have a hobby site next to our main hobby, namely british shorthair cats.
The site is extensive and I hope informative.
She is made in dutch and there is the ability to translate the text.
Now I hope that the translation is readable and does not contain too much
    broken English. my blog/site

You will annoy users by disabling right click. If someone wants to get hold of your content, inability to right click is not going to stop them.

Thanks Andrew for your comment. What information is missing for you, now I have disabled the right click? The average cat visitor to my site is slowed down to copy my content.
Unfortunately, some people find it necessary to our kittens to pretend they come from their cattery, which is the reason for the "security"

Hmmm disabling right click would be fine, but dont put that alert box over and over again, it becomes quite annoying then!
You could have a little more content on the homepage, which would attract the visitor seeing the excerpts to continue browsing your site, since only the slideshow wont do it!
