Am new at this. I have BlueHost hosting, my domain registered with another co, and have just started building my site on wordpress but I have seen it's already live. How do I 'hide' or take offline it till I have built it? I don't want anyone to stumble upon it yet. Somewhat urgent it comes off. Please Help. And Thanks in advance!

Posted 1 year ago #If you just want it to not be visible to people while working on it try Maintenance Mode plugin.
Your visitors will see a customized page with a custom message from you that the site is unavailable or offline or whatever. The new version even has a countdown timer if you know when the site will be back online.
Just search for Maintenance Mode in the plugins directory.

Posted 1 year ago #The maintenance mode and privacy plug-ins don't make the sites invisible, they only make it accessible to certain people. I want to remove it completely so that Google can't see it either. Anyone know how to do that?
