Want to change the directory my blog is in.

    I want to change the directory that my blog is in. I don’t want to move the wordpress files, just the address of my blog. How do I do this?

    rename the directory using your favourite FTP program.

    changing your address in any way may break the links to files in your blog posts, like images for example.

    Well, I’d add this:
    1. admin > Options > General: change the 2 URL values to the new name
    2. You will get a big error message – DON’T WORRY
    3. Rename the folder where WP is
    4. Now you can try to see your blog at the new location (don’t try it before!)

    ah yes, the options too 🙂

    I don’t see why this move is a good idea though… it feels like swapping one bad idea for another.
