Want to Change Author Information in Sidebar (3 posts)

My new blog (www.suburbanwonderland.com) has a right-hand sidebar in which the subhead "Author" appears. Beneath this subhead there is some default text that reads "A little something about you, the author. Nothing lengthy, just an overview."

I have changed my biographical information on the "My Profile" page in the "Users" section, but it hasn't effected the sidebar. I have also scoured all the sections of the left-hand toolbar looking for a way to change the Author sidebar, with no success. Can someone tell me what I need to do to get rid of this default text and add my own?

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

Open your dashboard, then Presentation, then Theme editor and select the right sidebar.php file. Find the default text there, delete it and substitute what you want. Save it and view your page. Keep doing that until it's exactly what you want. Before doing this you should use your FTP to download a copy of the sidebar file to your system in case something goes wrong:) If it does, just upload again and overwrite the existing file.

Saurus, thanks for your answer, it helped me out as well. Has there been any improvements in newer versions of wordpress to make this change a little more dynamic, maybe from the dashboard? I just started this whole blog thing today so I'm still figuring it all out!!
